When people are confident that they are making good decisions on how and where they live, we believe that they will positively support better living conditions for others on earth. Our commitment is to empowering people with knowledge and confidence to make these good decisions. For every real estate transaction, we will donate $200, in our client’s name, to one of these three special charities that we view as making a real and positive change in this world.
Whistler Community Services
Whistler Community Services Society (WCSS) is a non-profit society with Canadian Charitable status. They rely on the generous donations and contributions of the community to maintain their programming.
Their mission is "to provide programs and services that support social sustainability in Whistler" with a vision "to be the leading social service resource in Whistler by responding to the changing needs of a diverse Whistler community".
Make a Wish Foundation
Children’s Make a Wish Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation creating life-changing wishes and making dreams come true for children with critical illnesses.
Make a Wish’s passion is to improve the lives of children and families across Canada by enriching the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. The foundation provides a child with their one wish such as a trip to Disneyland, to the Galapagos Islands, going skiing for a day or meeting an ice hockey player.
A wish experience can be a game-changer for a child with a critical illness and impacts everyone involved - the kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals, and communities. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. Others might realize what they can offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy.
Playground Builders Org
Playground Builders is a Canadian organisation which builds playgrounds in schools, orphanages, and communities for children in war-torn areas.
In Afghanistan, Iraq, and Palestine, there are no safe places for children to play, with many children never experiencing the joy of playing on a swing or slide. Playground Builders are dedicated to building hope and peace through the gift of play and since 2007 have built about 22 playgrounds per year providing safe play areas and respite from the conflict for over 600,000 children every day. Not only are they building playgrounds, but they also help societies in crisis by injecting money into the local economy by creating jobs and buying local equipment and supplies.
The overall mission is to build hope among children in these conflict zones by providing safe places to socialise, play and just be kids.
